These are wonderful. I had a similar mind warping experience to what you described in the first post. Only for me it was an issue of Weird Tales found at Woolworth’s.

Sheloth blood turnips are too die for, btw.

I never saw this one. My favorite was always “The Dracula Collection”, also by Octopus Books. I don’t know about your book, but The Dracula Collection was obviously made up of covers to old British horror novels, but arranged with extensive text to form a story. And the majority of them were definitely pornographic. (Light nudity, lots of blood and guts in stunning colour.)

It was the story of some guy who in true Lovecraft style, goes searching for darkness, and finding it. One of his guides is, of course, Count Dracula, who is very charming while going into detail about Hell, demons, his family, and the like. But then you see Dracula at his most vile as he realizes that his guest is just another mortal and not a member of the supernatural world at all.

  5. Dylan Says:

Yes! That’s relieving…for every day I have to wait for a dose of Viking, I make up for it in alcohol, and I’m getting a bit…unsteady.

  6. Dylan Says:

Oh! Dude! I own that Dracula book! It’s under a pile of vinyl…amazing!
