Zzzzzzzzzzzzz…

&^@#$!

.

So how did y’all think old Johnny boy do last night?

I think they fucked up the speech big time. The first 30 minutes was just ramblin’ all over the place with McCain as the terrible orator that he is. Then the personal story and how that changed him as a man… thats the whole shooting match right there. Its political gold, so why let old Crusty ramble on disjointedly like Admiral Stockdale for 30 minutes until everyone shuts it off or changes the channel. You gotta lead in with the big sell if you can’t memorize folks with yer pillow talk.

There was a good 10 minute stretch were you could see the crowd go all glassy eyed and mutter to themselves,

“Oh shit! This guy is terrible.”

The only real excitement came from a few protesters and watching Todd Palin (The 1st dude) look down his wife’s shirt. That and giving a running commentary of all the shit they leave out of the bio films, like McCain’s 1st wife, how he was 41& married with 3 kids when he met and started dating the 24 yr old Cindy. What about Cindy McCain’s fortune and hows she is Johns political sugar momma, (shades of John Kerry) not to mention her struggles with prescription pill addiction.

Also funny that “The Maverick” didn’t thank the 162 lobbiests that work for his campaign. I’m sure that they to are all selfless patriots that only want to serve a larger and greater good. Thankfully the ‘liberal’ media covered all of this in depth… groan

Let’s Get Ready to Rapture!!!

Don’t be left behind without a “December 21, 2012″ teddy bear. What else will you clutch your terrified, heathen fingers around as the rest of your god fearing family is raptured away? These are great for Valentine’s Day, Anniversarys, Birthdays, or just anytime you want to let your significant other know that, when you are taken back to Christ in the hour of Tribulation, they won’t be totally alone.

Cory Doctorow says let’s hold the copyright holders accountable for their actions

In the UK there’s possible new legislation, supported by the big copyright holders (the RIAA, MPAA etc) that would allow them to force ISPs to cut off anyone’s internet access if the copyright holders accuse the individual of three (3) copyright violations. That’s right, “accuse” not prove. Corry Doctorow’s article for the Guardian makes a bold claim that we hold them to the same standard.

From the article:

The internet is only that wire that delivers freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, and freedom of the press in a single connection. It’s only
vital to the livelihood, social lives, health, civic engagement, education and leisure of hundreds of millions of people (and growing every day).

This trivial bit of kit is so unimportant that it’s only natural that we equip the companies that brought us Police Academy 11, Windows Vista, Milli Vanilli and Celebrity Dancing With the Stars with wire-cutters that allow them to disconnect anyone in the country on their own say-so, without proving a solitary act of wrongdoing.

But if that magic wire is indeed so trivial, they won’t mind if we hold them to the same standard, right?
